DEICIDE: New Audio Interview Posted Online
July 12, 2006An interview with legendary Florida-based death metallers DEICIDE, which originally aired Tuesday night (July 11) on the "Mike Davies Rock Show" on BBC Radio 1, is available for listening online at this location.
DEICIDE were recently awarded a silver disc by the independent music industry trade body Impala in recognition of the European sales of he band's last CD, "Scars of the Crucifix". Glen Benton (bass, vocals) and Steve Asheim (drums) collected the disc on a recent visit to London and vowed to make sure new album "The Stench of Redemption" receives gold.
DEICIDE spent 12 hours locked up in baking Floridian conditions earlier in the month while they filmed the video for the new track "Homage for Satan". In temperatures reaching almost 100 degrees Fahrenheit, the band ripped through the track again and again with a level of energy and enthusiasm that would destroy many less committed bands, drummer Steve Asheim in particular pulling of the almost inhuman feat of playing for 12 hours straight in broiling conditions without dropping a beat.

Expect "Homage for Satan" to be hitting your TV screens later this month. If you can't wait that long, head on over to iTunes where you can currently download an exclusive early mix of "Homage for Satan" as part of "The Stench of Redemption 666 EP". The album "The Stench of Redemption" will be in stores August 22 via Earache Records (one day earlier internationally).
